A Tree-Mendous Task

Our team recently had the privilege (& challenge) of carefully strapping and wrapping the branches of some of our largest Japanese Maples and Black Pines for packing and shipping to a garden in Tennessee. It took days of cautious tying and stabilizing before the trees were deemed ready for the long trip in the trailers of two semi trucks.

To make the most of the shipping opportunity, the buyer added a number of large shrubs to the load of trees at the last minute. While this made the loading process more challenging, it helped to provide stability to the root balls and branches of the large trees as they lay horizontally on the beds of the trailers. It was a tight fit, but thanks to the watchful, thoughtful care of the Hanselman team, the trees arrived safely at their new home, where they have been planted and will now provide beauty, color and shade for an outdoor seating area.
